Bacteria and essential oils

Every day a new “super-resistant” bacterium to antibiotics is discovered, that is, a microorganism that cannot be eliminated with any of the drugs

Every day, a new “super-resistant” bacterium to antibiotics is discovered, that is, a microorganism that cannot be eliminated by any of the drugs known to date, not even the most recent ones. This poses a serious problem for doctors who prescribe antibiotics, as they find themselves with broken spears. Not only that. It should also make biologists who study their genetics and the possibility of using them as genetic vectors for the most varied applications reflect, ranging from basic research to possible gene therapy. However, the discovery of this multi-resistant microorganism should not throw into despair those who intend to use natural remedies, because thanks to their versatility and power we will still be able to defend ourselves.

Essential oils (EOs) represent the odorous, volatile part extracted from different parts of a plant: leaves, flowers, bark, wood, peel, seeds, berries, fruits, bulbs... They are truly the most effective natural antibiotics, which also act against microorganisms considered among the most dangerous, such as diphtheria, typhoid, streptococci, which die thanks to their action. Studies highlight the broad spectrum of action of EOs, which means they act against a multitude of microorganisms, where antibiotics fail. This multiplicity of action depends on the fact that EOs do not contain just one active ingredient, but over 200 active substances, different in each EO. It is this whole set of molecules that gives the EO its peculiar characteristics and activities. The so-called “minor” constituents are not minor at all, because they allow our body to tolerate them better.

10 good reasons to use “antibiotic” EOs

1. EOs do not cause antibiotic resistance.

2. Most EOs are antiviral.

3. EOs act not only as “antibiotics,” but also as modifiers of the natural environment of microorganisms, making their life impossible.

4. EOs are effective at plasma concentrations 50 times lower than those of antibiotics.

5. EOs block the proliferation of harmful microorganisms and simultaneously stimulate the body's immune response.

6. Aromatherapy can be effectively used instead of antibiotic therapy.

7. Aromatherapy can be used in addition to antibiotic therapy.

8. Aromatherapy is as precise as antibiotic therapy.

9. EOs, unlike synthetic antibiotics, have a broad spectrum of action.

10. EOs, when vaporized or diffused, disinfect a room in less than 10 minutes.

I always recommend consulting a Specialist in the use of natural therapies, avoiding do-it-yourself, because it is never easy to choose the right therapy. This advice becomes a rule that should never be delegated, because EOs can also be dangerous if abused or chosen incorrectly. Nature gives us all the remedies, but the right Knowledge is needed to handle them wisely.
