Edward Bach, born in England in 1886, is the founder of Flower Therapy, a method that combines within itself a profound vision of the universe of Man. Bach understood that the comprehension of the deep psychology of the individual can provide valuable information for setting up a therapy based on his personality. A true PNEI ante-litteram.

In his studies, Bach came to the conclusion that the disorder itself is not important, but rather the temperament of the patient who developed it, and that is what must be treated to regain lost harmony. We could say that it is not the illness that matters, but WHO develops it.

When we go to look for the presence of active biochemical principles, we do not find any. So how can they work? Flowers, in fact, do not work through biochemical mechanisms, but through biophysical ones. According to Bach, illness is expressed when our biofrequency is not that of a healthy organism. Flower remedies are therefore able to correct the distorted vibrations of illness that manifest both as emotions and as physical symptoms.

Unlike homeopathy, which is based on the doctrine that like cures like, Flower Therapy acts according to the law of resonance: if symptoms attributable to altered emotions or moods are present, the resonance of these symptoms with the energetic imprint of a remedy is able to restore the balance of the person taking it.

Illness, according to Bach, is the consequence of an inner imbalance or the accentuation of a defect. Negative emotional states are the true indicators of illness. To heal, therefore, one must not (only) treat the physical illness, but remove the negative emotional state by developing the positive emotional state, or else attenuate the defect by developing the opposing virtue.
